The short version
- MySkoolio helps you plan and keep records. It isn't legal advice, and your state's regulator decides on registration.
- Your records and photos are yours. You can download them or delete them whenever you like.
- You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Nothing here takes away your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
1. This agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and MySkoolio when you join the waitlist or use the app. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
You need to be 18 or older, and the parent or carer of any child you add, or acting with their permission.
2. What MySkoolio is, and isn't
MySkoolio helps you plan lessons, keep records and prepare documents for home education in Australia.
It isn't legal advice. We check state requirements against the regulators' official pages and show where each one came from, but rules change. You're responsible for your own registration and reporting, and your state's regulator makes every decision. Using MySkoolio doesn't guarantee registration.
You're the teacher.Plans include AI suggestions, and those can be wrong or not suit your child. Look over each plan and change what doesn't fit. Supervise activities as you normally would.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. Give us accurate details, especially anything that ends up in documents for your regulator.
Please don't:
- use MySkoolio for anything unlawful, or upload anything you don't have the right to share
- try to get into other families' data or get around plan limits
- overload the service, scrape it, or resell it
If someone does these things, we may suspend their account. We'll tell them why unless the law stops us.
4. Your content
Everything you add, such as plans, notes, work samples and photos, stays yours. You let us store it, show it to you and the people you share your family account with, and turn it into the documents you ask for. That's all we use it for.
You can download your data or delete it at any time.
5. Plans and paying
MySkoolio has a free plan with limits and a paid Family plan, billed monthly or yearly in Australian dollars. Stripe takes the payments.
Your plan renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app. You keep the Family plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and then move to the free plan.
Moving to the free plan never deletes anything. You keep every child, record and file, and you can always download all of your data. The free plan shows the last 30 days in the app and doesn't let you add more children or attach new files, until you subscribe again.
If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want to.
We don't normally refund part of a period you've already started. That doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law: if MySkoolio has a major problem we can't fix, you're entitled to a refund.
6. The founding price
People who join the waitlist and confirm their email before launch can subscribe at the founding price of $2.79 a month or $27.59 a year, instead of the launch price of $8.99 or $89.
To get it, subscribe within 14 days of launch using the email you joined with. You keep the founding price for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel, or a payment fails and isn't fixed, it ends, and subscribing again later is at the price at that time.
It's one founding subscription per family, and it can't be swapped for cash or transferred.
7. Keeping the service running
We work hard to keep MySkoolio running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be down or have bugs. We'll keep improving it, and if we ever remove something you rely on or close MySkoolio, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to download your data.
8. If something goes wrong
You have guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
Beyond those guarantees, and as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for decisions a regulator makes, or for losses that come from relying on MySkoolio instead of checking official requirements. Where the law lets us limit what we owe you, it's limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid us in the last 12 months.
9. Ending this agreement
You can stop using MySkoolio and delete your account at any time. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Either way, we'll handle your data as our privacy policy says.
10. Changes and the law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before. If you keep using MySkoolio after that, the new terms apply.
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
